What Is Ultrasound?
Ultrasounds are a safe and effective diagnostic tool that uses high-frequency sound waves to create detailed images of the inside of your body.
Unlike X-rays, ultrasounds do not use radiation, making them an ideal option for various diagnostic and monitoring purposes.
They are commonly used to assess organs like the liver, kidneys, and heart, monitor pregnancy, and detect issues such as cysts or abnormalities in soft tissues. With real-time imaging, ultrasounds provide a clear and immediate picture, helping healthcare providers make accurate diagnoses and informed decisions.
All ultrasounds require an appointment.
Your doctor will either send us a requisition on your behalf or will phone us directly to book an urgent ultrasound for you. We book ultrasounds in the order in which we receive the requisition.
